As a composer, I take a lot of influence from soundtracks - in particular, 90s and early 2000s video game soundtracks when
graphics were often not good enough to convey the emotion of a scene and voice acting wasn't ubiquitous - the music had to tell the story and let the player know what the characters were feeling.
